Here is a taste of “Seachtain na Gaeilge” in Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail.
We had a fantastic time during Seachtain na Gaeilge. The following are some of the events which took place in Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail. The “Big Breakfast”, a Traditional Concert by musicians from Inis Eoghain, Question Time and the “Big Day” with Eamon McGee from the Donegal Football Team. Seachtain na Gaeilge ended with a Céilí and the announcement of the winners of the School Art Competition. Congratulations to all the winners.

As part of celebrating “Seachtain na Gaeilge “, the school had an art competition. Senior classes had to choose a proverb as their theme and draw a picture. “Our School” was the theme for the junior classes. The judges, Sr Anne and Sr Leda had a very difficult job in selecting the winners. The following are the winners:
Sixth Class – Shauna Reailtín Nic Eoghain, Fifth Class – Andrei Ó’ Caomhánaigh, Fourth Class, Kelene Nic Dhiarmada
Third Class – Nuria Oslé Nig Uidhir, Second Class – Rian Ó’ Ceallaigh
First Class – Molly Ní Chearnaigh, Senior Infants – Erin Ní Laoghóg, Junior Infants – Molly Ní Chaoidhe

World Book Day in Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail. The children have made an excellent effort again this year.

Dear Parents,
As part of our ongoing fundraising events the Parents Committee run a lotto called “Bonus Ball”. Our current lotto was won recently by Trish Hegarty. Trish and the Parents Committee received €1500.
This lotto is run as follows – Each player chooses 7 numbers between 1-45 inclusive, which are marked off against the ‘Bonus Ball’ from the main lotto draw on Saturday night. The jackpot is won when all 7 numbers are marked.
The next round of this lotto will begin shortly. To date the lotto has raised a substantial amount of money for school funds, with the same amount given out in prize money, so I’m sure you will appreciate that this is a very simple and worthwhile fundraiser and I urge all parents to support it so as to ensure continued success. Cost is €2 per week payable in blocks of €10. All players are also entered for a weekly draw of €10. Please find enclosed rules and number grid. Return completed grid with chosen numbers to the school with first payment a.s.a.p.

The Open Night was a great success. Lots of new and interested parents and children came and had a look around our school.
