Children from the senior classes had a great day when they learned how to make a basic electricity circuit using a battery, wire and a bulb. After a few trial runs they quickly realised that they must connect a wire between the battery and the bulb but also another wire from the bulb to the battery.
They also did a few extra experiments:
Does the brightness of the bulb change if there is more than one bulb in the circuit?
Does the brightness change if there are more batteries?
They discussed, compared and recorded their results.
